Key Responsibilities

  • Constantly acquire information about the latest medical and scientific advancements related to our products, therapeutic areas, and relevant competitors.
  • Conduct scientific presentations to healthcare professionals, medical societies, and other relevant audiences.
  • Develop a comprehensive country medical plan in collaboration with in-country and above-country cross-functional teams, aligning with the overall business strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the medical plan is integrated into the broader marketing and commercial strategies.
  • Implement and execute the medical plan, monitoring progress and making necessary adjustments based on emerging data, market dynamics, and customer insights.
  • Track and evaluate the effectiveness of medical activities, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Identify, establish, and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, and academic institutions.
  • Engage KOLs in scientific discussions, advisory boards, scientific workshops, and medical education initiatives to gather insights and feedback on our products.
  • Collaborate with KOLs to develop and execute medical education programs, symposia, and conferences to enhance disease and product knowledge.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, guidelines, and industry codes of conduct in all medical and promotional activities.
  • Support the development and review of promotional and educational materials, ensuring compliance with local regulations and scientific accuracy.
  • Provide medical review and approval of promotional materials, ensuring adherence to local regulations and scientific accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the Regulatory Affairs team to support the registration and approval of our products, including providing medical input for submissions and responding to health authority queries.
  • Take responsibility for in-country medical governance activities, ensuring compliance with local regulations and internal policies.
  • Establish and maintain local medical governance processes and systems to manage medical information, promotional materials, and interactions with healthcare professionals.
  • Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on local medical governance requirements and best practices.
  • Collaborate with other teams and the above-country medical team and colleagues to ensure alignment of medical strategies and seamless communication.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and provide medical insights and expertise to contribute to overall business objectives.
  • Act as a liaison between local and above-country medical teams, sharing local insights and ensuring effective implementation of global medical strategies.
  • Close collaboration with internal and partner’s Market access departments – cross-functional teamwork is of significant importance.
  • Provide medical and scientific training to internal stakeholders, including sales representatives, commercial and marketing teams, etc.

Qualifications

  • Medical degree (MD), Pharmacists or other degree as per local requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, therapeutic area, and clinical practice guidelines.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Previous experience as a Medical Advisor or in a similar medical affairs role within the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex scientific information to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, and/or other stakeholders.
  • Understanding of local regulations, guidelines, and industry codes of conduct related to medical affairs and promotional activities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to critically evaluate scientific data and medical literature.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and effectively manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • High ethical standards.
